Who publishes MeetKeep
MeetKeep is published by Crépin Hugues FADJO, an independent developer (“I”). This policy explains what data the app processes and how.
Data processed
You type or scan into MeetKeep:
- the details of people you meet: name, company, job title, phone, email, address, LinkedIn and website links, conversation notes;
- your events, your follow-ups and their dates;
- your own profile (contact details, link to your CV);
- your preferences (theme, language, lock, notifications).
Where is it stored?
Only on your phone, in the app's private storage. MeetKeep encrypts its database with a key unique to your phone, kept in its secure keychain, on top of your device's encryption. It is excluded from iCloud and Google backups: changing or resetting your phone erases it, unless you exported it first.
Permissions
- Camera: to scan a QR code or photograph a business card. The image is analyzed on your phone. A business card photo is deleted as soon as its text is read.
- Notifications: to remind you of your follow-ups. They are scheduled on your phone, with no server.
- Face ID / fingerprint (if you turn the lock on): your phone performs the check. MeetKeep only receives the result (success or not), never your biometric data.
- Phone contacts: MeetKeep does not ask for access to your address book. “Add to phone contacts” opens the system screen; you are the one who saves.
Text recognition
- On iPhone, business cards are read with Apple Vision, on the device.
- On Android, they are read with Google ML Kit, using a model bundled with the app, on the device. Neither the image nor the recognized text is sent. As stated in Google's ML Kit terms, ML Kit may send Google technical metrics about how the feature performs; they never include the image or the text.
Sharing and exports
When you share your profile, export a contact (vCard) or a list (CSV), or add a contact to your phone, the data goes where you send it, through the system share screen. Export files may contain personal data; once shared, they are no longer protected by MeetKeep. The app deletes temporary export files.
Opening a LinkedIn profile, a website, a call or an email launches another app, subject to its own privacy policy.
Data about the people you meet
You record information about other people. Use it fairly and lawfully (for instance under the GDPR if you use it professionally), and honour their requests to delete it.
Retention and deletion
Data stays on your phone until you delete it. You can delete a contact, an event or a follow-up at any time, or erase everything in Settings › Delete all data. Uninstalling the app also deletes all its data.
Your rights
I hold none of your data: you control it directly in the app. For any question, write to meetkeepapp@gmail.com. You may also contact your country's data protection authority.
Children
MeetKeep is a professional app and is not intended for children.
Changes
I may update this policy; the date above shows the latest version. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
